Shopping for a LMT

Finding the right person for you to help you with what you need addressed, isn’t easy. People all are very different, and the person with a bad knee, won’t be the same as the person with a bad neck all the time.

My best advice, is to pay attention to how that LMT makes you feel afterwards. People all like to be nice to close a sale, but results speak best. Ask of yourself before you go:

  • What hurts?

  • What did I like about my last session?

  • What do/did I not like? Have I ever told a therapist about that?

  • How do I want to feel at the end?

These are all questions I ask in my first time client meetings. I also follow up on all of these things at every successive session. Even if I don’t ask them with words, am always making sure I understand these answers before I leave the room to prepare for their session and leave them to get under the covers on the table.

Doing this raises your odds significantly of both getting what you want, and knowing whether the person who worked on you is going to be a good fit to work with in the future!
